About Us: Our history
In 1976, a family of skilled bakers from Carini, Sicily, opened their first Italian restaurant in Hanover, Pennsylvania. Founder Salvatore Marciano swiftly expanded into Southern/Central Pennsylvania and Maryland and christened his restaurants in honor of his wife’s family name, Genova. Genova’s To Go Italian Restaurant began its journey to become the best Italian restaurant in the two states known for its delicious pizza.

Today, Genova’s is operated by a third generation of family chefs and artisans, led by a strict commitment to stay true to what our name is known for. Genova’s To Go gourmet Italian food items – such as our homemade lasagna – are crafted using the same recipes as the day we first opened for business. Our unique and delicious sub rolls are baked fresh daily, while our pizza dough is hand-tossed to perfection with each and every order. The Genova’s To Go team prides itself on our pizza and marinara sauces, made on-site with low acidic, fresh tomato and basil flavors.
